"Yeah, I'm Really Busy Right Now..."
It's normal to find rhesus macaques in South, Central, and Southeast Asia. Their cute little faces make them adorable to watch, and sometimes they might even do something funny. They consume seeds, roots, and bark because they're on a herbivorous diet.
These monkeys often live close to human settlements, so they won't be afraid to come and say hello if you're in the vicinity. Judging by this photo, though, it looks like it's unbothered about taking pictures. The girl tries hard to capture the perfect selfie moment while the primate is humorously pretending to be checking for dirt under his fingernails.
Not Your Ordinary Vacation Love Story
People tend to travel for all sorts of reasons. Whether with a group of friends or by themselves, perhaps they want to experience different cultures or meet new people. Some people also fall in love. What better place to do that than with the sea and sunset in the backdrop?
However, it's difficult to explain the romantic setting this woman is striving to achieve with a giant stingray fish. The poses she's giving the photographer tell us it's a serious shoot. However, it looks like she's taking his breath away, literally.
The Weakest Link: Rafting Edition
Many adventure seekers like to vacation in specific destinations for extreme outdoor sports. One of those is whitewater rafting, which would give you one of the highest adrenaline rushes. It's done in thrashy waters, so it is not for the faint-hearted.
We hope the people on this raft all agreed to participate in this activity because it's even scarier when you are in it. The girl about to be left behind knew the dangers before setting off on this escapade. We wonder if her friend managed to latch on tight to her ankle to save her.
When You Forget Your Bus Ticket
Vacationing with a group of friends can be extremely fun! Who doesn't like a girl's road trip? This cheerleader seems to have forgotten her bus ticket and is about to ruin her ladies' night. Fear not; she has a backup plan!
The group has chosen their more petite framed girl to squeeze her body into the luggage compartment. Her idea shows how confident the trick will work just fine. However, the scheme will be difficult to pull off depending on the length of the journey. If this photo was taken at the end of the travel, the lady does not look too impressed. Perhaps a little regret?
"Babe, I Told You We Should've Paid For the Insurance!"
Renting a car can be an element that many people plan for during their trip. It makes getting to places a lot easier, rather than trying to plan trips through public transport. It can become laborious if English is not their native language in a foreign country.
Leasing a vehicle can be costly, especially adding insurance cover. Sadly, this photo tells us this family got themselves in a situation that will be hard to explain to the rental company. They probably left it parked on the beach until the tide came in too high.
Suspended Chords
Another activity that looks like it would suit adrenaline junkies although this one is rather peculiar. We know it's tough to break into the music industry since so many incredible artists are out there. So what else do you do to stand out except play the accordion 4,500 feet in the air?
Looking at this image gets our blood pumping, so we can only imagine how these guys feel. Don't panic, though; these guys are pros. They are the French music troupe Houle Douce. The band plays live all over the world in dangerous spots. Here they chose the cliffs of China's Tianmenshan National Forest Park.
Sorry, I'm a Slow Eater!
Who's guilty of achieving an accidental sunburn while on vacation? It is a regular occurrence, especially when traveling to hotter destinations than you're used to. Sometimes the result can be funny; for instance, this photo of a woman's legs looks particularly painful!
She fell asleep while eating something that required a bowl and spoon. Maybe she did not sleep well the night before and napped after her meal? Extreme heat from the sun can tire people out, so closing your eyes under those rays is something you should avoid without sun cream.
Cool Girls Don't Look at Explosions
People become different when they're on vacation. The whole event is like an escape where they can forget their everyday lives. To relax, unwind, and be free. The more fun they become, it's hard to let anything ruin the good vibes.
Look at this lady in a bikini with a bottle of beer. Her reaction doesn't quite match what is going on with this picture. Can you see the building on fire after an explosion in the background? Whatever the situation, this has given the model a moment she will never forget.
Muddy Waters
Have you heard the old Chinese proverb, "muddy waters make it easy to catch fish?" The more non-transparent the market is the more chance for opportunist behavior. However, it looks like these ladies took that figuratively. Lucky for us, with some comical results.
They're covered head to toe in thick black mud. Except their hats are exceptionally clean and white still. Maybe they thought the mud had skin healing properties. We wonder what they were thinking going into the mud with white hats. The facial expression of the woman in the middle reads instant regret!
Frozen Hair? Where Else But Alaska?
One popular destination people love to visit is Alaska and the Chena Hot Springs. Many consider it to be a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Why? Because you get to sit at -20º F conditions while enjoying a nice hot spring bath. It seems absurd to sit in a bikini in those conditions!
This photo is a perfect example of extreme weather conditions. It almost looks costume-like, but we assure you it is real. Depending on the season, to top it all off, you might be able to catch the aurora borealis. No wonder this is a top spot for visitors.
Getting the Full Picture
Many have tried to take photos of the most beautiful scenery using the panoramic setting on their camera phones. It's often helpful when you want to catch more of the horizon in one image. However, the trick is to stay completely still while you slowly move in the direction of the arrow on the phone.
Many find it difficult, with shaky hands and constant moving parts in front of the lens. It looks like that's what happened here; the person in question tripped up and cut off half her body with funny consequences.
Me, You & The Hippo
Popping the big question is a huge moment in many people's lives. Especially for the one who is asking! Usually, there is intricate planning to ensure everything goes swimmingly for the special day. This is to make sure that your partner will say 'yes' to make you the happiest person.
This gentleman got down to propose to his girlfriend at an aquarium. The photographer managed to capture this image of a hippo who was excited to see how this would turn out. We wonder if the mammal would be invited to the wedding.
Not a Beach Person
Family vacations can get tricky as children get older. It's not unusual that teenagers are particularly complicated for parents while they figure out who they are and what they like. Most younger children enjoy a day at the beach, being free to swim and soak up the sun.
Some teens are stubborn and discover they are not interested in participating in the day's activities. Though this lady sticks out like a sore thumb, at least there is no chance of her catching a sunburn, as we saw previously. At least she showed up, we suppose.
Don't Turn Your Back on the Ocean
We don't think this is the picture-perfect family moment these guys were hoping for. You can't turn your back on the sea when you're so close to the water. It is so unpredictable with sea creatures and intense waves. Despite them thinking the water was still and calm at the time, the treacherous sea tricked them.
Even though it was unexpected, we think it turned out quite humorously. Hoping that they keep this forever; it does seem more heartwarming than the exemplary one they were anticipating. Who needs a super polished photo anyway?
Herd Mentality
There aren't many who recognize this magnificent monument. The Leaning Tower of Pisa always draws an extremely touristy crowd. As you can see here, most of them do the same action for their photos. They pretend to hold up the pillar as it's peculiarly built on a tilt.
The locals must be tired of seeing the same thing every day. It must start to feel like a tradition around those parts. Taking this out of context, it almost looks like there is a flash mob getting their groove on—just another day at the Piazza del Duomo.
Grandma's Not Impressed
Most adrenaline seekers love theme parks for their seemingly dangerous rides and velocity. There are only two types of people out there: those who love them and those who don't. This log flume experience is one that some enjoy as you get a little soaked with water on the way down.
A camera snaps your picture as you fly down the run, supposedly catching you off guard and making a funny face. The lady wearing sunglasses does not seem impressed with her deadpan look. Though, she still should take advantage of this image and take it home cause we think it looks super cool.
Bulls & Bears
This statue of the Wall Street Bull is not the original if you look behind it. It couldn't be further away from New York City. It is located in The Bund, a famous waterfront area in Shanghai. A top spot that tourists love to visit.
It looks similar to the Bull in the United States because it was designed by the same artist, Italian Arturo Di Modica. It's a Chinese-commissioned piece of art weighing 5,000 pounds and was installed in 2010. Some visitors like to take a cheekier vacation snap instead with this bronze figure.
Almost There
As we saw before, the Leaning Tower of Pisa is one of Italy's most popular tourist attractions and the Colosseum. The constant crowd of people around the building is almost iconic as the construction itself. With its bizarre 3.97 degrees angle, there are several golden opportunities for hysterical pics.
These guys got a little more creative rather than your standard 'holding up the tower' as we saw many do beforehand. Why not pretend it's ice cream and lick it simultaneously? However, the positioning wasn't correct cause he went for the tree instead.
Yes, Dolphins Are Evil
A child's intuition is something you should trust most of the time. Maybe this young girl knows something her parents don't? The photographer wanted to capture a nice touristy photo visiting the aquarium with a majestic dolphin in the background. It would have been picture-perfect if it weren't for her reaction.
The New York Post reported that these mammals are not as sweet and innocent as they seem. They are pretty vicious animals, known to kill their offspring and even assault human swimmers. These species try to fool many of us, but that clever young lady knows all about them.
Parenthood... With a Twist
Young children can be naughty at times, mostly when you don't want them to be. Family trips away can be a relaxing time but can have some funny turnouts. All they wanted was a sweet picture they could maybe hang up on the wall at home, yet they got an amusing one instead.
This man didn't expect to get assaulted by a child, and the facial expressions make it more humorous. The poor man could not have prepared him for this moment. Judging by the little boy's smirk, he might have done this before. Maybe once or twice.
Cruelly Pranking Mom
If you've never heard of The Grand Canyon, you have probably been living under a rock! It holds nearly two billion years of the Earth's geological history. This makes it one of the biggest tourist attractions in the United States. Those wild cliffs can be dangerous; with many people visiting, 12 deaths are reported a year at the site.
This girl staged a prank for this snap, hanging on for dear life at the side of the ridge. Don't panic; she's standing on a ledge underneath. Though her acting skills are incredible, this photo does look convincing.
No, Stingrays Are Not Cute
Many have heard of the story of the legendary Australian zookeeper, Steve Irwin. He sadly passed away in 2006 from a pierced barb in the chest from a stingray. Contrary to this story, these sea creatures are usually quite friendly to humans. They only attack when they feel threatened if something swims in the way of their escape route.
The animal, related to sharks, swam up to this lady to say hello, but her reaction seemed more than dramatic. Perhaps she didn't want to take part in this activity. We don't think there's any danger since the people in the background find this moment amusing.
Too Close...
We're all about animal rights, and many people like to visit safari parks to get closer to animals they wouldn't usually. Tourists like to care for them, feed them, and even pet them. No matter how much you love these creatures, you might get a little scared because of their unpredictability.
This kid is the perfect example of this. He got caught off guard when this adorable donkey decided to pop in and say hello. Maybe there were some tasty treats the mule could smell. Best to give up the goods so they'll leave you alone.
Polar Expedition
This family photo is quite peculiar. Not only are the members all carrying pickaxes, the youngest one is holding a stuffed animal, and there is a menacing dressed-up polar bear in the background. It's worth mentioning they're all donning frightening grins.
We would support you if you thought this was from a scene from a horror film. Not exactly sure what the goal is here with this image, but we don't think these guys should use this one for their Christmas card photo. The violent-looking pic might scare off their neighbors.
Scary, Scared, or Hungry?
You may have heard the saying; a picture is worth a thousand words. If you look closely, this image can hold several stories. As we try to figure it out, is the lady screaming at the poor alligator, or is she about to eat it?
Never mind what the situation is, we can enjoy the confusing image for what it is. Not that the people behind her are that alarmed though, so perhaps it was meant to be comical? The real puzzler, though, is where the reptile got all that jewelry from? So many questions, so little time.
When a Sunburn is the Least of Your Concerns
Have you ever seen the famous 'Friends' episode where Joey's body gets completely covered in the sand beside his head? It seems this man has. While he does the same thing, he may not have realized the consequences of being trapped.
He won't fall victim to the dreaded sunburn accidents we saw previously, but he didn't account for the seagulls. We can't tell whether the guy is asleep or not, but what we can't deny is how the birds have left him a little surprise on his forehead. He'll have to rethink his game plan.
Not Lovin' Their Love Story
Out of all vacation photos, the honeymoon ones are usually the most romantic. Newlyweds are constantly snapping away as they remember their special few days away. Mainly to show others what they've been up to.
They might not realize they're making others miserable with all of their shenanigans during their cloud of happiness. This couple is so busy riding their horses and enjoying their moment that they don't think about this poor guy. We hope the photographer managed to get the final shot without the struggling gentleman in the middle.
"Look, Mom, Foreign Trash!"
This man is a bonafide tourist. Look at his serious stance! He's making sure every part of his journey has been documented either for himself or his fans back home. Not wasting any opportunity, he's either taking a more believable selfie or taking a picture of the trash.
Though the latter seems less likely, it makes a funny story. The truth isn't quite as interesting, but he seems utterly unaware of how quirky he looks taking the photo. It would have been funny if he was trying to capture some kind of "classy European trash" piece.
Creepy Photobomb
It's not the first time we have seen a photo of a terrifying stingray around humans. Do you reckon it's the same one? This particular sea creature seems to like photobombing tourists' vacation photos. As we mentioned before, they're more friendly than you think, but we can understand the reaction of these ladies.
They look incredibly terrified! A slippery animal creeping up behind you, not knowing what it is, can scare the toughest of men, especially with its sheer size. While the attacks are rare, they can produce fatal venom to people.
Unzipping the Fear
You may have heard many children come away from family trips with some traumatizing stories that they remember forever. It seems to always happen during these times. This young boy's face tells us this is one of those terrifying moments.
This dad put his son on a zipline to maybe overcome his fear of heights in the safest way possible. They seem to all be relatively calm despite the little one's reaction. Seeing that he is not too far from the ground, we can agree he's not in complete danger.
1, 2, 3... Jump!
There are numerous images out there of family photos, from normal to outlandish ones. We can't judge; everyone has their own style. It looks like these guys were aiming to go for a mid-air photo on the beach but the dad forgot to hold on to his youngest.
Group snaps are stressful enough, without trying to get your people in a difficult formation. Even though this is not the result they wanted, we think they should keep it for comical value. No one is perfect, which makes them all the more unique.
I Talk... And I Bite!
Going to a bird resort can be fun. Especially meeting exotic birds like faunas. Their colorful feathers make a great addition to any photo. However, you best keep in mind that these flying animals are unpredictable. They can switch from friendly to randomly biting you on the side of the head instantly.
This happened here, where the lady seemingly posed nicely for a pic to show off her visit. This guy had a different idea, though. Snipping at her ear caught her off guard, and judging by her face, it looked like it hurt!
It's a Dog Eat Dog World Out There
You can't make this stuff up! If you visit Southern Peru, you'll bump into these two animals; the goat and the hawk. This area is known for its big birds, tamed, and the magnificent Andean condor, a protected mountain bird.
Going to a completely different country is terrific if you love landscape and experiencing various wildlife too. As this lady found out, no matter the occasion, there are no rules in the animal kingdom. The strongest will almost always win. While posing for a photo, the eagle got jealous and wanted to get in on the action.
Like a Boss
We have another super cool waterslide photo for you. They are not always a scary ride, but one of the most fun. As the flume travels down at high speed into the water, a camera snaps you at your most vulnerable. Most of the images are to catch you out.
As many people recognize this, they try to outsmart the system. Some end up pulling unusual faces compared to the others around them. This young man chose to pout his lips and look unbothered compared to his companions, with hilarious results.
Not Like the Movies
Social media stars tend to do the typical 'hair flip in the water' photo. If done correctly, it does look quite remarkable. Emerging from the water with a trickle of water in the air as you flip your head back might garner a few likes on Instagram.
People on the internet don't see the infinite amount of tries before capturing the perfect shot. That seems to be the case here with this lady. It's pretty funny that she can't find her bearing and is temporarily stuck in this state of confusion.
Creepy Hotel Room
Trips can get quite expensive. So some people try to save where they can. Others see the hotel as just somewhere to sleep as they'd prefer to spend the cash on seeing attractions and visiting different cities. Though cutting back on these things, you should expect not to live a life of luxury.
Looking at this tiny room and creepy bathroom set up, not much of the vacation budget was spent here. Breakfast in bed with your partner can be romantic, but what about watching your significant other on the toilet? We'd rather not.
Can You Spot the Glass Cup?
We have to remind viewers that they must be prepared. Despite these exotic animals looking beautiful on the television, they may not be as nice as you think. They might seem calm and collected in their usual habitat, but among humans, they can surprise you.
This lady does look frightened, but what about the glass she's holding? It played an optical illusion trick on us. Don't let this photo put you off, though; when do you often get the chance to meet these pink birds? Fun fact for you, the reason for their beautiful colored feathers is down to the amount of shrimp they eat!
Dating Abroad
Traveling away from home is all about taking in new experiences. Sometimes it can lead you down a dangerous path, though. This lady visited an exotic country and spotted some primates wearing human clothes. Who would miss a photo op with these guys?
However, she wanted a nice pic for herself, but the monkeys got a little too friendly. At least one of them did. It was all in good humor, though she laughed it off, as we can see. At least you can say the locals were friendly and welcoming.
Airplane Horror
Before and after the vacation, airplane trips can be the worst. You can say it has its pros and cons. We must give it its dues for being a safe transport method, yet the little things can make the whole experience a nightmare. Those things can include delayed flights or sitting next to a screaming baby.
It looks like the situation here we have is sitting behind Big Foot. The passenger in front has put their hair behind the cushioned headrest, making it rather difficult to watch entertainment or even devour your food—another little thing to add to the list.
Mid-Air Snap
There are always super cool photos circulating the internet of things unplanned. Much like this snap where this unsuspecting woman did not realize a bright iguana wanted to photobomb her moment. Standing on an extraordinary monument built in San Juan during the 16th century is what she wanted to capture.
The lizard could not wait and just had to cross the bridge to get to its family, or possibly it saw something tasty across the way. Pics like this are one in a million, so we think the woman here should play the lottery too.
