EHS has honored more than 250 companies since 2022 to be referred to as America’s safest companies because of their health benefits, environmental concerns, occupational safety, and risk management. Everyone deserves to feel safe at the working place, whether it’s a janitor, the newest hire, or a CEO – safety is everyone’s key right!

What should the organizations do to be considered by EHS?

To be successfully considered by EHS as one of America’s safest companies, the organization must have its headquarters in the U.S and should show their support towards EHS efforts from leadership and management levels. They should also acknowledge EHS efforts for employee involvement in the EHS process, solution for workplace challenges, injury or illness rates lower than the average rate of the industry, training programs, prevention of incidents for safety purposes, and effectively communicating of the value of safety.

Applicants should apply as a whole organization and not just single location operating units working as a part of the company. Previous winners have to wait for five years before re-applying. The application process is open till 1 July 2022 and is free of cost. The winners can attend the America’s safest companies Awards presentation at the Safety Leadership Conference that will be held on October 18th, 2022 in Cleveland, Ohio. Winners will get two free passes to the event in 2022. It’s organised to create awareness about the best practices regarding risk management, safety leadership, technology applications, and compliance according to EHS professionals. EHS organizes the events in hope of achieving world-class safety at their companies. Speakers of the conference will include previous winners of America’s Safest Companies.
