Known for her beautiful features and ace acting abilities, Kate Hudson recently sat down for an interview for Allure. She discussed the definition of beauty, her popularity, her relationship with make-up and also talked about her collaboration with Juice beauty where Hudson and her friend Karen Behnke, founder of Juice beauty, came up with a revitalizing face mask.

When asked about her approach to beauty in life, she said that it keeps changing as you grow older. According to Hudson, beauty starts with what you eat and how you feel. It begins when you start taking care of yourself, your wellness routine, and how well you sleep. For Hudson, beauty has always been what we do in our lives that makes us feel good about ourselves, and that is how it radiates from within.

Husdon is also very popular for sharing her make-up free photos on the internet. When inquired about what she thinks is the appeal behind her make-up free selfies, she said that she loves seeing women feel good about themselves, whether they choose it do with make up or without. And although there are some people who love the natural radiance and feel that there is more beauty in simplicity, makeup is also a way of self-expression and enhancing that natural beauty. According to Hudson, she is a little bit of both, as she loves getting glammed up and getting her sparkly nails done. But then she also likes to be in her own element, and feel closer to herself without a smudge of makeup. Hudson said that she appreciates people and loves seeing them in whatever state they want to share themselves with the world.

Being an icon of beauty and glamor, Hudson expressed her views on her current approach to beauty. She said she is a very simple being, and the older she is getting, she is realizing that her skin is getting even more sensitive. So the less makeup and products she uses on her face, the better it is for her face and skin. She shared that she washes her face every morning with plain water with a cloth. The helpful tip was told to her by Gucci Westman in her twenties, when the makeup artist told her to stop using cleanser on her face in the morning and instead use water. That stopped the breakouts immediately and Hudson’s skin got immensely better.
